Fancy a Hatchback? A Fancy Hatchback?

Yeah that was some wordplay. If you thought that the Volkswagen Polo GT 1.2 TSI is an expensive Hatch, think again. BMW and Mercedes have thought of beating that and that too by a very long margin. Although if you look the other way round, you are now going to get the 'BRAND' and the awesome 'GERMAN ENGINEERING' for a few less of that hard earned buck of yours.

BMW, who also own Mini, and launched the Cooper in India only last year, have now though of launching its 1-series by September. The car which is available in many parts of the world is known for its handling and awesome drive. The car is a hot hatch, and is available in Rear-Wheel Drive, which as we all know means Doughnuts, Drifts etc. But then, will you do that in your expensive Beemer? Hell yeah, else who will I buy it? And at a price tag of anywhere between 21-24 lakhs, it’s an expensive Hatch, but a cheaper BMW. I would buy it for its Engineering, but in India, many will judge you and say- You just own a Hatch. There you go, sales won’t be that good. But the car will feature Airbags, Leather seats, Cruise Control, ABS and even a banging stereo. So if you are a young rich brat, why look somewhere else?

Might not be a thing of beauty, but it will be Rear-wheel Drive

Well, you might want to look at the Mercedes stable. They have the B-Class in the Indian Market, and now they will launch a Diesel and the Awesome A-Class. A-Class will be launched by 30th May, and trust me, the car is going to be both a Looker and an Awesome Drive. With features and price similar to the 1-Series BMW, its early launch will give the most successful Mercedes launch a boost in the Indian Market. Hell, I can't wait to drive it.

Awesome looks, and add to that an awesome car to drive. Rich brats, Rejoice!

The B-Class I mentioned earlier, Launched at a price tag of 27 lakhs found buyers in the Indian Market and was a contributor in Mercedes regaining the 2nd spot in the Luxury car market. So this Sports Tourer, well, it must be having something.
Looks dicey, but it sure is a luxury Hatch! Sorry, Sports Tourer.
Mind you, the cars mentioned here are no bigger than our standard Toyota Etios that we get to see almost every day. Strange but true!

Anyway, I hope to at least see them on the roads, because I will be going to see them in the Showrooms, and you have my word, they will be awesome to drive. Let’s see if the Indian Market gets a dramatic change, or not!

When an SUV came, to simply blow my mind!

I have always been a fan of Jaguar Land Rover, especially after Tata Motors overtook them back in 2008. Now they changed the whole outlook of the Company. They changed the look of Jaguars, and then The Land Rovers. We are here to talk about the Land Rover Division, because, they have done something you cannot imagine. Of course one die hard fan of the Rangies, Mr Jeremy Clarkson (Who is my Idol when it comes to Car Critique) thinks that Rangies are now all about Bling, well sir, with all due respect, you are getting a little old.

The best agent with, yes, the Best Car!

Now Land Rover first made the Sexiest car in the whole world, The Evoque, and then, when I thought that is it, they made another LEGENDARY and SEXY car, and they launched it in New York, yesterday. Its called the Range Rover Sport. And first things first, if you think it isn't a looker, please close this page, I'm not here to take any of your comments.

Evoque + Range Rover = AWESOMENESS

It is a mixture of Beauty, that is, the 2013 Range Rover, and the Evoque. It seems really tricky, and it is. But Land Rover people, and their Designers, they nailed this one. It looks awesome, and after the Alfa Romeo 8C, Evoque, and the SLS, this is the car that is proper Sexy!
The side fins are at the correct place now, joy!
Now usually, the Engines and all are boring, but the amount of variety you get, its staggering. The Range Rover Sport will be available with its widest-ever range of engines, most of which are shared with the Range Rover. At launch, there will be 288bhp SDV6 diesel and 503bhp V8 petrol engines, with 255bhp TDV6 and 335bhp SDV8 diesels, and a hybrid turning up in 2014. Eventually, Jaguar Land Rover’s new 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine will be offered, plus new four-cylinder engines and a plug-in hybrid.
Usually designers cock up the rear end, not the Range Rover people! Thanks Mr Tata!
The new car may sit on the same lightweight platform as the Range Rover, but 75 per cent of the Sport is unique. It features an all-aluminium body (the fifth from Jaguar Land Rover), meaning a weight saving of 420kg over the equivalent previous Sport, with improvements in economy and emissions of up to 15 per cent.
That front end, Blingy, but superb!
Tunnels, Deserts, Mountains, Forests, just bring it on!
Ignore the Taxi, notice the Panoramic glass roof, and in that color, oooooh!
Its touted as the Fastest Range Rover ever, and that makes me say something that i have never said before, I AM GOING TO TEST DRIVE ONE AS SOON AS IT HITS THE SHOWROOM. so more on that, later! Till then droooool!

Thanks to the Official Land Rover page on FB for the pics, and info!

A Ghost-like? Hell no, Its in a league of its own!

Many consider Rolls-Royce as the ultimate Luxury car maker. And it is true. Rolls people saw that Billionaires are emerging, so they launched the new Phantom for those old chaps. Then they saw Billionaire population getting younger, and they came up with the Ghost. Now they think these Billionaires are getting even younger, or maybe they have that Speed-Freak nature in them emerging, so they made this, The Wraith. Two simple things to describe this car, It’s the most powerful road going Rolls ever, and it is, as expected, a thing of Beauty.
Possibly better looking than the Ghost? Hell Yeah!

It has the same heart as the Ghost, a 6.6 liter twin-turbo V-12, but it’s on steroids, and creates 624 horses and 800 Nm torques. The Horses and Torques go to the rear wheels, after passing through an 8-speed Automatic gearbox, with some ZF technology. You can reach 100 kmph in 4.4 seconds, and top speed is whatever you dare to achieve on this 250,000 Euro car.
Suicide Doors, Yay!

I don’t know what else to say. It’s a Fastback, it has got all the Rolls-Royce-ey Luxury and Rolls has gone as far as giving you the Stars on your headliner. Something called Satellite Assisted Transmission is also there, which scans the road in front to give you the best gears. Anymore, and we would have to call it the Mother, for caring so much about you. And yeah, if you think that it’s not worth it, wait, it’s got Suicide Doors, heehee!
That Fastback shape, perhaps equally appealing as the Mustang Fastback

If i ever get money to spend on an Expensive, Super-Fast and Luxurious car, Wraith its is over the Bentley Continental GT-Speed. Reason- Suicide doors, man. I hope to spot it someday on the road, pics of which will be uploaded too! Cheers till then, and enjoy ogling the pics! :D
Expecting Rolls-Royce to compromise on looks? Are you a mental?
Thanks to Autocar for the pics!

Honda is back, First card is the new CR-V

The car is a looker, AGAIN

Ok so Honda has finally started their "We wont give up on India" campaign. They launched the much awaited, beautiful looking and awesome New CR-V. This is the same car that made people feel Tingles in their bodies due to the sheer look of it. Although the car wasn't that god to drive, it managed to find buyers in people who just wanted a good looking big car. But Ford and Toyota played their cards, and Honda was sent packing. But now, they are back, and its time for Ford and Toyota to pee in their pants.

The rear is a little Volvo-ish
The headlamps, according to me are the best feature about this car

First things first, its even better to look at than the old one. Its a complete new design, With nothing being shared from its predecessor. The front is breathtaking, with that stair-inspired grille now replaced with a normal one, and the headlamps get projectors in them, with Day Time Running LED's. The foglmaps have no funny business going, and are simple and round. A bit disappointing thing about this car is its rear. I think the Honda designer got tired and just copied a Volvo, or he had a Volvo-fetish. In simple words, it resembles the Volvo, particularly the XC60.

Simplcity and Awesomeness, Honda nails it everytime!

Once you open the door, you expect a cabin that will tell you that you are here to be pampered, since the CR-V has a Honda badge on it. All expectations are fulfilled. The interior in typical Honda, i.e. its awesome. It get a center-mounted Gear shift, which has always been my favorite since i first saw it in the Hindustan Contessa. The Dash looks simple, yet there is something which tells you it is great. Its a looker, and the buttons are easy. The Info-cluster is superbly set up, with a circular blue screen in the middle for various information.

The engine, Honda has gone with a 2.4 litre 4-cylinder which delivers a decent 187 horses when you rev it to 7000 rpm, and at 4400 rpm you are given 226 Nm torques. The engine is mated with a 5 speed auto 'box, which can be shifted with paddles too! Also on the top-end variants, you get 4 wheel drive (I know, in an SUV? Why? :P ) The engine is a 2 litre 154 bhp @ 6500 rpm unit, with 190 Nm torques at 4400 rpm. It is mainly Front wheel drive, but It gives power to the poor chaps at the rear when something called slip is detected. I feel this CR-V too will be sold because of its Looks, until the Diesel is launched.

Overall, i love this car for its looks, and also for that Honda badge, which carries a strange reliable feel with it. I hope to see this car on the road, and i hope when i drive it, it surprises me!

What a way to spend crores!

Automobili Lamborghini India today launched its very own Bull in this even more Sexy Topless Avatar, Aventador Roadster!

Lambo people, the ultimate teasers!

Now when you look at the Aventador, and then set your eyes on the way Lambo people have covered it, maybe that dormant side of you wants to jump on the stage and rip off those covers to reveal the Sexy beast inside. Well according to reports, no such event was reported at the Mumbai Showroom of Automobili Lamborghini. When the covers were removed, the "car" was revealed, being as awesome as it can be!

Now this beauty comes at a price, and for that you must have either a very wealthy dad, or else for sure you must be over 40 just to afford this. Its a Whopping 4.77 crores, which doesn't include the ridiculous taxes we have to pay to the good-for-nothing government. You can pay more, if you spec it in your own special way!

The car carries the same doors we find on the hard-top

The car is exactly the same as the hard-top, except for the fact that you the ability to drive this car topless, a deed you have to do yourself, that is, take the 6-kg Carbon-fiber roof away and toss it into the boot, which in at the front. Now if you think the car is lighter than the hard-top, you are wrong. It weighs 50-kg more. Andrea Baldi, Head of Operations, South East Asia and Pacific emphasized that the car will hit 100 kmph in 3 seconds and go on to 350 kmph, with the roof up or down. Cool, we just hope the old people can hang on to that, or those born with a silver platter find the balls and a road in India that can achieve that!

The interiors are also the same, and that Start Button, wooo!

Looking forward to catch a glimpse of the car on-road, and the pics of the same will be uploaded as soon as i can spot one (not that by any chance i will miss it) and will be able to stop oogling them!
